Daniela Wilson is big believer in paying it forward, so much so she has put fingers to keyboard to write a book packed with pearls of wisdom and actionable advice to help the women who are striving for more.
Onward and Upward; How to Supercharge your Life to Overcome Difficulties and Live With Joy and Fulfilment has been a lifetime in the making. Daniela says with so many people wondering if there is more to life, it is easy to think there is not enough love in the world.
“I have been through a lot in my life especially over the last 12 years. It defined me as a I conquered more and more. When I was told I wouldn’t ever get out of bed, I just fought more,” she said. “My journey of life-changing transformation was the motivation and catalyst for writing this book.
“I want people to see there is a universal love we are all connected to. Even current circumstances make it feel like there isn’t, I hope my book will motivate, inspire and enable people to rise above.”
Daniela has had an interesting life – working as a clinical nurse and now a integrative holistic health coach, artist and writer. Twelve years ago, she was given a dire prognosis. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, she took resolutely powered on; getting a university degree and changing her life.
“I learnt that things are not what they appeared to be. You can change anything in your life from diet, values, beliefs to your profession. We can all be who we want to be,” she said.
“I did this; it took me so much heart ache, trial and error. I wanted to package all of this into a book focusing the World Health Organisation four standards of living – emotional, mental, physical and faith.
“I can’t build a hospital or a church, but I can start a movement of love … giving all I’ve got to help people live a better life.”
The hands-on book takes people on a journey of discovery. “It is not just about the what but the how and why. There is no one size fits all approach to life but Onward and Upward explores the mind, body and spirit with actions people can take,” Daniela said.
“I have spent so much money and time and come so far on my own. I don’t want others to do that by themselves. Using what I have learnt, they can do things easier and faster.”
For Daniela, you can’t buy that satisfaction of helping someone.
