October is one of the busiest months of the media year. In addition to a host of awareness days and events, the month culminates in Halloween, while Christmas planning and content is very much front of mind.

In the interim, the month also kicks off with school holidays, while senior students begin to look to exams, graduating and university entry.

Behind the scenes – The day-to-day activities behind your business scenes can often prove newsworthy. Whether it’s how a product is made, the staff involved in the process, or how long you’ve been in business, consider what makes your business unique and special for a news topic.

  • The birthstones for October are the tourmaline and the opal. 
  • The zodiac signs for October are Libra (September 23 – October 22) and Scorpio (October 23 – November 21).

Wedding season – We’re still in the thick of wedding season, so ideas, tips, countdowns and wedding preparation health routines are welcome.
