Entries for Australia’s only industry event for the kids activity, family entertainment and party businesses; the What’s On 4 Kids Awards are now open for 2019

With previous winners including Cricket Australia KFC Big Bash League, Australia Zoo, NAB AFL Auskick, Ready Steady Go Kids, Baby Sensory, The Mik Maks, Ready Set Dance, Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm and Ready Set Dance. The 2019 awards are set to see winners alongside some big industry names.

The demand for children’s activities continues to grow steadily, making the children’s activity and party industry one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy.

It’s not a big secret that even in times of financial difficulty parents will continue to spend money on their children – and even more so if that spend is on products or activities that they feel will aid their child’s learning and development, assist their education or improve their general health and quality of life. This trend is only likely to continue, with more households where both parents go out to work, meaning that the market for after school activities is booming.

From swimming lessons to baby yoga, cooking classes and art schools to sports based activities, digital technology, music and dance, you can now find a kids activity catering to pretty much any area of children’s learning and development.

Elise Easdown founder of the What’s On 4 Kids Awards comments “We feel very privileged to not only work with this industry but to also celebrate them with the What’s On 4 Kids Awards. Winning awards gives the industry recognition, increases team morale and workplace culture and leads to more family interest”.

In it’s 8th successful year the 2019 What’s On 4 Kids Awards is recognising excellence in the industry over 32 categories.

Categories include Industry Leaders, Best Family Day Out, Best Franchised Kids Activity, Best Team Culture, Best National Preschooler Activity & Best Kids Activity for Cultural Diversity and Best Kids Party Provider.

“In previous years nominations are attracted from businesses and parents all over Australia and we expect this year to be the same” says founder Elise Easdown

All nominations are judged by an independent panel with the  ‘people’s choice’ winners decided on community voting.

Last year over 500 nominations were received, with Best Kids Live Show – National, Best Kids School Holiday Activity and Best Kids Party Venue as some of the most popular categories; a total of more than 21,000 votes were received.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at Sheraton Grand Mirage on the Gold Coast on Saturday 1st June 2019.

In 2018 Tina Harris aka Lah-Lah, was inducted into the What’s On 4 Kids Awards Hall of Fame, with two months until the 2019 recipient will be announced.
